In order to utilize Multi Zone Audio
to it's full potential for running to multiple sound
systems, you can have as many sound cards installed as
Windows will allow.
Each of the Zone players can be
easily mapped to a separate card in the Zone Options
screen.
There are hundreds of sound cards
available, from inexpensive to high-tech expensive ones.
We note a few of the more popular cards available to the
right.
We do not endorse any particular
manufacturer, but we have tested many of these devices
with all of our products, and any one (or combination)
should serve you well.
Hooking up most sound cards to your
sound system is usually as easy as purchasing a cable
from Radio Shack (one cable per sound card).

The cable shown above (part #
42-2551), has a 1/8" stereo mini plug on one end, which
plugs into most sound cards line output, speaker out, or
headphone out jack. The other end has two RCA connectors
for attachment to your mixer/receiver/amp/powered
speakers.
Mapping a Zone or DJ Mixer deck to
any available sound card is done through the player
Options screen for the respective player. This is
detailed in the manual
here.
If using multiple USB sound cards,
you will need the available USB ports on the computer
you are using, or an inexpensive USB hub, which allows
for multiple ports.
You can visit most on-line retailers,
or electronics stores for USB hubs.
